Introducing the Vinson; Perfect Camera Bag to Own
The Vinson camera messenger bag priced at $179.00 denotes a time gone by, but also promotes modern functionality through its style. It’s been on our shoulders for months and we’ve finally launched it after months of trials and a few prototypes.
Design
The earthy hues of cotton canvas used in combination with rich full grain leather will definitely have a broad appeal. Whether used for college, work, travelling, or photography on the go, this is a bag that suits pretty much every occasion and matches with most outfits too.
It comes in three colors, Ash Black, Sand Tan and Olive Green beautifully complementing a brown leather flap which completes the whole look very elegantly. The interior of the bag is well padded to protect cameras and all fragile equipment. The cushion couldn’t get any better.
A unique feature that makes this bag less ordinary is the water resistant waxed canvas which provides excellent ongoing protection for your possessions in light downpours. Furthermore, with months of regular use we’ve really liked just how solid and responsive the YKK zips are. Another appreciative feature is the studs on its base so that the canvas doesn't directly buff against the ground or get deeply ingrained with dirt.
Comfort
The adjustable shoulder strap is well padded and remains soft yet snug on the shoulders with a loaded bag. However carrying any messenger for a very long day with a lot of weight can weigh you down a bit. We have to know the limitations well and use these as long as we stay comfortable. Pleasingly the rear of the bag is also padded and any laptop or tablet remains very well protected.
Storage
The minimalist external design merges with a modern bag interior layout for what we consider a highly suitable space for on-the-go lifestyles. We see cotton twill lined slots intended for camera and upto 2 additional lenses. Another padded pocket fits up to 13” notebooks and then plenty of free open space outside to pack away our earphones, small books, portable speakers, a pair of gloves, or even a 500ml water bottle. Normally anyone would store fewer items in the main compartment to keep things really organised and stow smaller items, like portable speakers or books, inside the front zipped pocket. An important note we’d like to throw in is that, because the bag is totally opened once the flap is lifted, its easier to take items out and see within.
