A Spin with Stark Roaming Mad

The year has already begun on a beautiful note by Swati Shah from Stark Roaming Mad. If you are wondering what is Stark Roaming Mad, so here is a little introduction to this gorgeous, full of life couple who totally justify their title.
Swati and Shaunak are California residents, with hearts that belong to Bombay. They took a break from the 9-5 to travel the world! And they are acing at what they do.
If you love travelling and photography, you ought to visit their website for the heart warming blogs they have written about their journeys around the world and the images on their social links are a treat to the eyes. Go check 'em out and get inspired to travel more this year.

Swati recently started using our camera messenger bag, the Vinson in Olive Green cotton canvas and here is a glimpses of her feedback to us.
"Christmas came early this year with the arrival of the perfectly packaged ‘Vinson’ by Blackforest Bags. What caught my attention at first glance was the use of high quality materials in every element of the bag, and the skillful workmanship used to marry all of these elements together. The olive-green canvas is in perfect harmony with the dark brown leather, while brushed metal accents in the form of buckles and clasps lend just the right air of raw earthiness. This is one handsome bag.

I have a soft spot for products supporting local craftsmanship; and Blackforest Bags are handmade by artisans in India who have been perfecting their craft over decades. The attention to details is hard to miss once you look closely; tight stitching, brass studs on the base, and padding on the adjustable shoulder strap.

The bag strikes the right balance between form and function; I couldn’t help but feel like my style quotient went up a few notches with the bag by my side J

For someone like me with an ever-expanding collection of photography paraphernalia, the Vinson introduces just the right amount of organization. I could fit into the main compartment my Nikon D7200 with prime lens affixed, 18-55mm kit lens, and 13” Macbook Air. It could probably fit in another lens if needed. The adjustable velcro dividers let you customize the usage of space, and are adequately padded for us clumsy lot prone to an accident or two while travelling. The front pockets held my memory cards, spare batteries, and other miscellaneous accessories.

I see myself using this bag as the perfect companion on short vacations or a local day-trip. Now if we were to be greedy, if only Blackforest could also come up with a slightly bigger bag that could fit my 15” Macbook Pro, all my dreams would come true J". Swati

Who doesn't love being appreciated and when we hear something great about our bags, we are so thrilled and encouraged to create more and provide better ways of carrying camera gear in a more stylish way yet fully function oriented.

We are very hopeful to introduce more exciting stuff this year. Stay tuned!
